Of prime importance in this design was accommodating the flow of patrons within the facility and the surrounding site.
The design of the facility strikes a balance between the strong historical alpine style of the main lodge and the contemporary character of the Alpine Rose Lodge. Natural materials used in the design of the facility include massive columns from felled trees at the site and natural granite rock excavated from the mountain side.
